(WAVY) — Governor Terry McAuliffe signed three bills Tuesday that will care for our veterans.
“This is something we think about every day — we need to fulfill our promise to those men and women who put the uniform on to fight for us. We need to fight for them,” McAuliffe said.
The Governor said one of the new bills will allow Virginia National Guardsmen, who are honorably discharged, to get a veterans I.D. Another increased the number of non-legislative members on the Board of Veteran services, and with the third bill, the Governor streamlined the Virginia Military Advisory Council.
