Suspect of 2014 Newport News arson arrested

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News Fire investigators confirm they have arrested a man accused of setting an intentional fire at The Counseling Center – LLC back in 2014.

Fire investigators arrested 24-year-old Andrew D. Williams on Wednesday and charged him with arson of a building and burglary.

Williams is accused of a setting a fire inside The Counseling Center – LLC, located at the business complex at 606 Denbigh Boulevard, on July 25, 2014.

The preliminary damage was estimated to be $35,000 and the office suite where the fire sparked was condemned.

Williams is being held in Newport News City Jail.
