Three wounded in Suffolk shooting

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) A shooting near downtown Suffolk early Saturday morning left three men wounded.

Suffolk Police responded to the 300 block of Greenfield Crescent just before 1 a.m. after receiving calls for shots fired in the area. When officers arrived they found a large gathering of people and three men who had been shot.

Medics transported two of the victims to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries while the third man refused medical treatment.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police tells WAVY.com the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but have not released any additional details.
