PD: Man robs Elizabeth City hotel at knife point

 

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Best Western Hotel in Elizabeth City.

Police say, around 2:23 a.m. June 6, the man entered the hotel located at 848 Halstead Boulevard, pulled out a multi-tool type knife and demanded money.

He then took cash from the register and fled the scene on foot, heading towards the area of Southgate Manor Apartments.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6-6’2″ tall and weighs around 225-250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans, black shoes and a black piece of clothing covering his face.
