Family displaced after early morning fire on Sibley Court

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters say a family and their dog made it out safely from their home after flames broke out, early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched to the home on Sibley Court, near General Lee Road, around 1:28 a.m.

Firefighters say there was moderate damage to the garage and attic area. There was also smoke and water damage to rest of home. The three residents will be assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
