Hampton shooting turns deadly overnight

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police confirm a man is dead following a shooting in a residential area on North King Street late Monday night.

Dispatchers received a 911 call around 11:22 p.m. for multiple shots fired in the 100 block of Tudor Court.

Responding officers found 33-year-old Nathaniel Jordan, laying on the sidewalk in front of an apartment building, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Suspect information and motive are still under investigation.
