WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) – The best women golfers in the world are settling in at Colonial Williamsburg tonight for this weekend’s $1.3 million dollar Kingsmill Championship.
After a week off, the tour event begins Thursday on the Pete Dye River Course–a course dominated last year by American Lizette Salas who ran away on Sunday with a 71 to win her first tournament by four strokes. Nine of the top 10 players in the world, and 16 of the top 20 overall are in the field, including two time player of the year Stacy Lewis–ranked 3rd after nine events.
Listen to Stacy Lewis and Paula Creamer talk about this year’s event. We will have coverage every night through the weekend on the Sportswrap.
