Police catch suspect in shooting of siblings

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — The woman accused of shooting two siblings earlier this month is now in Newport News Sheriff’s Office custody.

Nigeria Daizelle Lamb, 22, turned her self in to Newport News Police Department Wednesday, April 29. She is chared with two counts of malicious wounding, and three counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Investigators say Lamb shot into an occupied vehicle April 6, injuring a 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman. The two victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to police, before the shooting, Lamb and the female victim had a verbal altercation outside the Garden View Apartments near the 500 block of Adams Drive.
