NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A woman in Norfolk is accused of using a samurai sword to try to rob her roommate.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Kristen Emmons was high on meth during the robbery in the Ocean View neighborhood of Norfolk on March 16.

Detectives say Emmons smoked meth with a friend. She allegedly told the friend she had stolen the drugs from her roommate and wanted to rob him again.

The friend gave her a sword he had in his apartment, say court documents. When the two went to Emmons’ apartment to rob her roommate, she attacked both of them.

Emmons was arrested and faces robbery and assault charges.

Both men were cut in the incident. One received ten stitches, and the other denied medical treatment.
