Newport News credit union robber wore rubber glove

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A BayPort Credit Union in Newport News was robbed by a man with a gun Monday morning.

The suspect entered the credit union on Marshall Avenue just after 9 a.m., pointed a black handgun at an employee, and demanded cash. According to police, there were seven employees and three customers inside the business at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

Police released a bank surveillance image of the suspect, which shows him wearing a dark-colored sweater, which he had pulled up over his face, dark jeans, a grey or faded baseball cap and he was wearing a rubber glove on his left hand. Police say he also had on white tennis shoes.
