Admirals win final AHL home game, fans react

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) —  The Norfolk Admirals won their final home game as a member of the American Hockey League, defeating the Lehigh Valley Phantoms 4-2 in front of an announced sellout crowd at Norfolk Scope.

Team owner Ken Young sold the team to the Anaheim Ducks, who are moving their top AHL affiliate to San Diego as part of a new Western Division.

Next season, Norfolk Scope will be home to an ECHL team that is affiliated with the Edmonton Oilers and currently plays in Bakersfield, California.
