Shots fired at Suffolk police cruiser during noise complaint call

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police is looking for whoever fired a shot into an officer’s car early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say it all started around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Kissimmee Avenue.

The officer responded to a call for a loud disturbance and found a large group of people in the area. When the officer went to investigate, he says someone fired shots at his cruiser.

One shot hit the passenger side of the windshield and the suspects fled the area.

The officer was not hurt.
