Beech Nut recalls baby food products after piece of glass found in jar

Beech Nut Nutrition is recalling some 1,900 pounds of baby food products that may be contaminated with small pieces of glass.

The New York based company issued the recall after receiving a consumer complaint about finding a small piece of glass in a four ounce jar of “stage 2 Beech Nut classics sweet potato & chicken.”

The product bears the establishment number “p-68a” inside the USDA mark of inspection and includes a December 2016 expiration date.

It also includes product numbers “12395750815” through “12395750821.”

Beech Nut says the product was shipped to stores nationwide.

Consumers can return the recalled items to the store where purchased for a refund or replacement.
