HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — Chief Meteorologist Don Slater is tracking storms in the Super Doppler 10 Weather Center as Hampton Roads remains under a severe thunderstorm watch Friday evening.
The severe thunderstorm WATCH is in effect until 11 p.m. for the entire Hampton Roads area. A severe thunderstorm WARNING is in effect for the northern neck, including Gloucester, Lancaster, Middlesex, New Kent and Charles City.
Slater said we will likely only see some isolated strong to severe storms. If any severe storms develop, the main threats will be strong winds, hail and heavy rain.
The showers and storms should start to decrease after midnight.
