NNPD searching for suspect vehicles in neighborhood shooting

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating after shots were fired in a Newport News neighborhood last week.

Newport News police say shots were fired in the 7400 block of Wickham Avenue, around 11:25 p.m. on March 25.

According to police, a TV in a bedroom was damaged by a bullet. The bullet had traveled from the front of the residence through one bedroom and into the second bedroom where the TV was at.

There were no reported injuries.

Police say they are looking for a dark-colored sedan and a dark-colored SUV that were seen leaving the area after the shots were fired.
