PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Portsmouth detectives are hoping someone can identify burglary suspects who were caught in the act on surveillance video.
Police say four suspects burglarized Willet Hall on two occasions, causing extensive damage to the 2,000-seat entertainment facility.
The first burglary happened overnight and was discovered around 8:30 a.m. March 3. Police say an employee of Willet Hall found evidence that someone broke into the building through a back window. The second — and very similar — incident was discovered around 9 a.m. March 9, also by an employee.
Detectives looked at surveillance video of both incidents and said the suspects took “consumable items” and caused damage throughout the inside of the building both times. During the first incident, there were three male suspects recorded inside the building. Two of those suspects and a female appeared in surveillance video of the second incident.
Anyone with information about this case or who can identify the suspects pictured is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP℠.
