CAMDEN COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Firefighters say a home in Camden County is a total loss after a fire sparked overnight.
Camden County Fire Marshal Barry Overman tells WAVY.com crews got the call of a fire at a two-story home on Bartlett’s Landing, around 12:17 a.m.
When crews arrived on scene, the fire was coming out of the roof. Overman says the wind caused the fire to spread throughout the home.
The family made it out safely, but it remains unknown if two cats that were inside the home made it out.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
