Monarchs roll past Western Kentucky on Senior Night

NORFOLK (WAVY) – Jeff Jones will likely never say his team is perfect, but his team does have a perfect record at home this season. Old Dominion’s 75-52 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday Night gave the Monarchs (24-6, 13-5) a perfect 17-0 record at the Ted Constant Center and more importantly, a three-seed in next week’s Conference USA Tournament.

Kellam High School graduate Trey Freeman, who earned consecutive C-USA Player of the Week honors, made his case for a three-peat with 27 points and 6 assists. Richard Ross, playing his last home game in a Monarch uniform, gave the 8,472 home fans what they’ve been accustomed to seeing over four-year career- a few show-stopping dunks to go along with 12 points.
