NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Public Utilities crews worked to repair a water main that broke on W. Little Creek Road near Newport Avenue.
According to Harry Kenyon with Norfolk Public Utilities, an eight-inch water main broke Sunday morning and required crews to close a section of the road to repair it. Traffic was detoured around the 400 block of W. Little Creek Road at Restmere Road and Newport Avenue.
The main was repaired and service restored to customers at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
One eastbound lane of West Little Creek road is still closed until a paving crew can work to make it suitable for traffic Monday morning.
The two westbound lanes are open to traffic.
