Guns and vehicles stolen from Hampton sheriff’s home

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Records reveal Hampton Sheriff BJ Roberts was the recent victim of crime.

Police say a burglar swiped two vehicles and six guns from a home in Hampton. The crime on Estate Drive was reported Feb. 9. WAVY.com has confirmed the home belongs to Sheriff Roberts.

Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect last week and charged him with burglary, three counts of grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

According to police, the firearms have not been recovered.
