Providence hands Admirals 2-1 loss

NORFOLK, Va.  (WAVY) – A 2-0 deficit was too much for the Admirals to overcome in their 2-1 loss to the Providence Bruins on Friday night.

Providence got the scoring started with a 5-on-3 man-advantage on a goal by David Warsofsky.

The visitors didn’t score another goal until late in the second period. Ben Sexton passed to Colin Stuart who danced around Norfolk defenseman Colby Robak. One-on-one with Faragher, Stuart crossed the goal mouth and beat Faragher under his blocker to give the Bruins a two-goal lead at 15:58.

Ryan Faragher saved 26 of 28 shots. Norfolk faces Providence again tomorrow night for the final time at Scope, with puck drop set for 7:15 p.m.
