CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth police officer has been served with a summons for simple assault after an alleged altercation with another man.
According to police, Portsmouth police Sgt. Robert Huntington was served on Feb. 25 with a summons for simple assault.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred on Feb. 2 that involved an altercation with another man near the 3300 block of South Military Hwy. in Chesapeake.
Huntington is currently on administrative duty with pay.
