VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach man will spend 20 years in prison for producing child pornography.

Michael John Baigert Jr., 21, was sentenced Monday on four counts, according to the office of U.S. Attorney Dana Boente.

Prosecutors say he met a teenage girl through a social media app called KIK. Then they say he went to her home in York County in August 2013 and sexually assaulted her. Detectives discovered Baigert had videotaped the assault on his iPhone, without the victim’s knowledge.

Investigators said Baigert victimized three other teenage girls in a similar manner.

He pleaded guilty in October, but disputes that he ever asked the victims if he could record their sexual activity.

Baigert’s sentence also included a lifetime of supervised release and restitution for the victim in the amount of $2,031.36.
