Police arrest game console robbery suspect

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police have arrested a man accused of stealing a game console from a Walmart in Suffolk.

According to Suffolk police, 29-year-old Galatians Edmonds, Jr. requested to look at a game system. He then grabbed the system and attempted to leave the store. When confronted by an employee, he said he had a gun.

Edmonds, Jr. then ran out of the store and got into a small red SUV. Police said there was at least one other occupant in the vehicle. The model of the vehicle is unknown. Police say the car was missing the back windshield and the area was covered in plastic.

The robbery happened at the Walmart located in the 6200 block of College Drive. Edmonds, Jr. was arrested on Feb. 5. in Portsmouth.
