Suspects detained after reports of suspicious activity in Va. Beach neighborhood

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police have detained several people accused of suspicious activity in a Virginia Beach neighborhood Monday morning.

Police say concerned residents on Bonney’s Quay called 911 when they noticed a commotion outside. Residents told dispatchers, about eight juveniles may have been trying to break into cars near Witchduck Road and Princess Anne Road, sometime around 2:30 a.m.

Officers say the suspects fled on foot but were apprehended with the help of K-9s.

Police say all the suspects were underage. Police have yet to release further information on this incident.
