VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A former NFL safety for the Washington Redskins was arrested Monday in connection with an alleged assault earlier this month.
Curtis Wayne Jordan, 60, was arrested and charged with strangulation resulting in wounding, grand larceny and felonious assault, according to Jimmy Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Cason said the assault happened January 2 around 12:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Curtis was a Redskin in the mid 1980s and a Tampa Bay Buccaneer in the late 1970s. He currently lives in Virginia Beach along Surfside Avenue.
Jordan was released from the Virginia Beach City Jail Monday evening on a $25,000 bond.
