PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Detectives with Portsmouth’s Special Victims Unit are asking the public for help finding 61-year-old Dellareece B. Norfleet.

Family members last saw Mrs. Norfleet Sunday evening, and on Monday, someone found her purse at the High Street Landing in downtown Portsmouth.

According to police, Norfleet has been known to wander from home and go to the Union Mission in Norfolk, where she was found the last time she went missing. This time, however, she’s not been found. Detectives think she may have taken the ferry from High Street and left her purse by accident.

Police and family members are concerned for Mrs. Norfleet’s safety because she has medical conditions that require medication and constant supervision.

She’s described as an African American woman, about 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long greet coat, blue jeans and a black hat.

Anyone with information about Norfleet’s whereabouts is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP℠.
