NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News detectives have arrested the sixth and seventh suspects in the investigation of an October assault and robbery.
Thaddeus Graham, 19, turned himself in at Newport News Police Headquarters Wednesday evening. This was after 19-year-old Eric Dwain Edmunds turned himself in at the Magistrates Office in Hampton on Tuesday, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Edmunds was charged with abduction by force, intimidation or deception, robbery, three counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, malicious wounding by mob, and contempt of court. Graham received similar charges.
The charges stem from an incident on October 19 at the Microtel Inn on Operations Drive. The 18-year-old victim told police he was in a room at the hotel for a party when several people assaulted him and took his cell phone, jewelry, cash and shoes.
The investigation identified seven suspects and all have been arrested. Graham and Edmunds are being held at the Newport News City Jail.
