Deputies: Thieves lift valuables from unlocked cars in Carrollton

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va (WAVY) – Several unlocked cars in Carrollton were broken into at the beginning of the new year. Deputies are encouraging people to lock their vehicles and report any information on the crimes to authorities.

Calls came in from the Merritt Cove and Country Walk Way areas of Carrollton reporting larcenies from vehicles from Jan. 2 to Jan. 6, a news release from the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office stated. Officials did not say what was stolen or if there is any suspect information.

Deputies said no one should leave valuables in plain view and to remember to lock your car. Anyone with information on these crimes is encouraged to call 757-357-2151.
