Vehicles vandalized at Va. Beach apartment complex

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police confirm multiple vehicle break-ins at an apartment complex Wednesday morning.

According to police, someone walking by the Greenwich Village Apartments around 7 a.m. spotted several vehicles with smashed windows. Police officers responded to the scene and found six vehicles with broken windows and five vehicles with both broken windows and items missing from inside.

The vandalism and break-ins all happened between 11:38 p.m. on December 30 and 4:50 a.m. on the 31st, according to Jimmy Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department.

According to a WAVY viewer, several cars were also vandalized at the nearby Runaway Bay Apartments.

Just two weeks ago, Virginia Beach police said someone vandalized more than 100 cars across the city and last weekend, vandals broke into dozens of vehicles parked in a Virginia Beach Towne Center parking garage.
