3 arrested in Norfolk pursuit for stolen vehicle

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Three people have been taken into custody after a police pursuit in Norfolk, Wednesday morning.

Sam Shenouda with the Norfolk Police Department tells WAVY.com officers attempted to stop a reported stolen vehicle near the 1300 block Lead Street, around 4:35 a.m.

However, the vehicle did not stop, says Shenouda. Officers then began pursuing the vehicle until it stopped near the 1600 block of Claiborne Avenue.

Shenouda said four males bailed out of the car. Officers were able to arrest two juveniles and one adult.

One of the suspects remains at large. Charges are pending for those in custody.

No one was injured during the pursuit.
