Suffolk police investigate food store robbery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk police say an armed robbery happened at the Supreme Holiday Food Store Tuesday evening.

The robbery happened around 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Holland road, according to Suffolk City spokesman Tim Kelley.

Investigators say two men entered the store, brandished a firearm and demanded cash. After getting the money, the suspects fled on foot.

No one was injured.
