38-year-old accused of using fake ID to buy goods

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with using fake ID during purchases at a local department store in Suffolk.

Joel Corder was taken into custody Dec. 17 and charged with four counts of grand larceny and three counts of obtaining money by false pretense, according to authorities.

Corder, from Zuni, is accused of using a fake ID while purchasing items at a Lowe’s on North Main Street on Nov. 16 and Nov. 24, a press release by Suffolk police stated.
