NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Admirals rebounded from Friday’s 3-1 loss to the Springfield Falcons by knocking off the same team 4-3 Saturday night at Norfolk Scope.
Following a scoreless first period, Springfield took a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Trent Vogelhuber, one of which was short-handed.
The Admirals then went on a scoring spree that was ignited by Antoine Laganiere’s fifth goal of the season.
Less than minute later, the Admirals tied it up when Emerson Etem scored on a power play goal. Norfolk capped off the second period when Joseph Cramarossa worked his through traffic to give the Admirals a lead they would never relinquish.
Ilya Bryzgalov had 22 saves for the Admirals who are back home at Scope beginning next Friday for a weekend set against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
