Police: Suspect takes guns, antique stamps and car

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A burglar broke into a house in Hampton Tuesday stealing weapons, antique stamps, coins and drove off in the victim’s car.

Officers said someone smashed the front-door glass of a home in the 100 block of Mohawk Road then reached through the window and unlocked it between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9. The suspect took firearms, antique coins and stamps, women’s jewelry and electronics, according to authorities. Then when the person left the residence, the suspect stole the victim’s 2013 Fiat, which was in the driveway.

Hampton police said the vehicle is still stolen and the investigation is ongoing.
