SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Officials confirm a 38-year-old woman died in a three-vehicle crash in Suffolk Friday night.
Just after 5:30 p.m., emergency dispatchers got a 911 call about a vehicle crash in the 4800 block of Route 460 (Pruden Boulevard), near the intersection with Old Myrtle Road, according to Suffolk City spokesman Tim Kelley.
Michele Acree and Curtis Grant were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. That’s where Acree died and Grant, 25, remains in serious condition but is listed as stable.
Both Acree and Grant were alone in their cars.
Kelley said the driver of the third vehicle refused medical assessment and treatment at the scene by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel.
All lanes of Route 460 in that area were shut down for a few hours. The crash remains under investigation.
