3 arrested in connection with Gloucester motel robbery

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – Three suspects robbed two people Tuesday in a Gloucester County motel room, deputies say.

The victims were at the Gloucester Inn Motel on George Washington Memorial Highway when the suspected robbers assaulted the two and stole cash and items from them, according to a press release from Gloucester’s sheriff’s office. The victims told deputies they were held inside of the room against their will. One was able to escape and contacted authorities who then later pulled over the suspect car.

A gun was found in the vehicle and deputies arrested Rasean Curry, Tyler Foster and a female minor. After investigating, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office said the the victims knew the offenders, and deputies found another gun used during the crime. Some of the stolen merchandise was recovered. One victim suffered some minor scrapes and bruising during the incident.

The release stated Curry, 20, of Maryus Road was charged with two counts of robbery, abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Foster, 20, of Fletcher Road was also charged with two counts of robbery. The 17-year-old was charged with two counts of robbery, abduction and conspiracy to commit a felony as well.
