Police: Robber wore wig, armed with steak knife

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police are trying to identify the suspect in two robberies last week.

Both incidents happened late Wednesday at 7-Eleven stores, according to Public Affairs Officer James Cason.

At 11:15 p.m., the suspect, armed with a steak knife, entered the convenience store at 696 Aragona Boulevard and tried to rob the clerk. He fled the business before getting any cash. About ten minutes later, the suspect went into the convenience store at 5444 Virginia Beach Boulevard and took cash.

In both incidents, the suspect appeared to be a skinny, white or light skinned man in his early 20’s. He stood just shy of six-feet and seemed to weigh about 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black beanie cap, a dreadlocks wig that covered his face, dark colored striped jacket, blue jeans.
