HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police say a pedestrian is in stable condition, after being hit by a mini van Monday night.
Just after 6:30 p.m., a 66-year-old man was hit by a Mercury mini van traveling east on Shell Road, according to Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division. The scene was between Gary Lane and Quincy Street, which was closed for a couple hours, as crews cleared the scene.
The man was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but is now in stable condition, Price said.
The driver stayed at the scene. No charges have been filed, but the crash is still under investigation.
