NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man flipped his car when he struck a light pole on I-64 in Norfolk and then fled the scene on foot early Sunday morning, police say.
William Plott was found shortly after the crash near the Indian River Road exit around 2:30 a.m. Nov. 30, stated the Virginia State Police press release. He had ran off the road and into the pole, which overturned his car, and he ran off, officers said.
Plott, from the 800 block of Golf Street, was wanted in New Kent County for misdemeanor warrants, according to authorities. He was taken to Norfolk General for non-life threatening injuries and then released.
He is now in Norfolk Jail where warrants were served.
