NNPD release surveillance video of Hardee’s robbery

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Newport News police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery from over the weekend, hoping the public can help identify the suspect.

Around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the Hardee’s restaurant at 430 Denbigh Boulevard for a report of a robbery, according to Harold Eley with the NNPD.

The manager and a clerk told investigators an unknown man, armed with a black revolver, entered the business and demanded cash. After taking money from a cash register, the suspect fled on foot.

There were no customers inside the restaurant, at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

The suspect covered his face with a black bandanna and was wearing gloves, a blue jacket, dark pants, and white shoes. He was described as a black man in his 30’s with light brown complexion, standing about six-feet-tall, and weighing about 200 pounds.
