SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Twice this week, officials at Nansemond River High School had to tell parents about threats made against the school.
The first time was on Wednesday, after the administration became aware of threats made via social media. Suffolk police began an investigation and increased the department’s presence at the school.
Then on Friday, a message saying “Bomb 11-21 11:00” was found in one of the school bathrooms, and the administration evacuated the building. Suffolk police and fire units responded and cleared the building.
Principal Thomas McLemore Jr. sent a letter home to parents and guardians after both incidents.
