Strollers recalled, after fingertip amputations

(WAVY) — Graco is recalling more than 4.7 million strollers, after parents reported their children getting fingertips amputated.

The folding hinge on the sides of the strollers can pinch a child’s finger, posing a laceration or amputation hazard. So far, Graco has received six reports of fingertip amputations, four reports of partial fingertip amputations, and one finger laceration.

The recall involves 11 models of Graco and Century-branded strollers made between August 2000 and September 2014: Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling, and TravelMate.
