VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police are on the scene of a crash, involving a city bus, two tractor-trailers and a dozen injuries Thursday afternoon.
Dispatchers got a 911 call around 2:15 p.m. about the three-vehicle crash. It happened in the 1800 block of General Booth Boulevard, near the intersection of Gunn Hall Drive, according to Officer James Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Cason said the crash involves two commercial vehicles and an HRT bus. All injures reported are minor in nature, he said.
Right now, northbound traffic on General Booth Boulevard is being re-directed down Culver Lane to Upton, then Dam Neck Road, or Corporate Landing Road to Dam Neck Road. The northbound lanes will be closed for several hours, but southbound lanes will stay open.
Expect North bound traffic to be redirected for next 2 hours at General Booth Blvd & Gunn Hall Dr. Avoid area if possible.
