Veterans Day events across Hampton Roads

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — Veterans Day Ceremonies took place across Hampton Roads Tuesday, honoring those who served our country and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

WAVY’s Anita Blanton attended the Tidewater Veterans Day Parade in Virginia Beach, where, despite the rain, the parade continued as scheduled. WAVY.com also stopped by Norfolk’s ceremony at the MacArthur Memorial and the 111th Field Artillery and 29th Infantry Division Veterans Day Service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Watch the video above to get a glimpse of the festivities and hear from local veterans.
