Study: Chesapeake ranked among best cities for veterans

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake has been ranked among the top 10 best cities to live in for veterans.

A study conducted by the personal finance social network WalletHub ranked 100 of the most populated cities in the U.S. based on 19 key metrics, including the percentage of military skill-related jobs, the availability of VA health facilities and the percentage of veterans living below the poverty line.

WalletHub ranked Lincoln, NE as the best city for veterans and Newark, NJ as the worst. Three Hampton Roads cities made the list: Chesapeake was ranked 7, Virginia Beach made number 35 and Norfolk was ranked 70 on the list.
