Suffolk woman assaulted in her apartment

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was victim to a sexual attack in her own residence early Wednesday morning, and the suspect has not been identified.

Just before 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 100 block of Nancy Drive for a report of a sexual assault, according to Suffolk City spokeswoman Diana Klink.

The victim told police a man she didn’t know forced his way into her residence and physically assaulted her.

There were no witnesses, and police have no other information to release.
