Newport News woman accused of knifing 3 people

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – A Newport News woman who was assaulted by three people on Saturday is accused of cutting them and has been arrested, police say.

Azzure Yarborough, 34, was arguing with her child’s father, a 28-year-old Hampton man, in a restaurant on the 4400 block of Jefferson Avenue around 2:15 p.m., according to officers. Authorities said in the parking lot Yarborough was attacked by the 28-year-old and then by two other women. She suffered minor injuries to her face, chest and arm but refused medical attention and called police after she got home, the release stated.

The three then reported that Yarborough, of the 00 block of Colon Road, cut them, and they were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities. Police said they pulled the three over after they saw them reckless driving near the intersection of Dresden Drive and Jefferson Avenue. After getting statements from the three, warrants were issued for Yarborough.
