VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man accused of hiding a camera in a Virginia Beach recreational center locker room has reached a plea deal.

Matthew Ludwick pled guilty Friday to two counts of attempt to create a video graphic or still images of a non-consenting person.

Police say Ludwick put a camera in an electrical socket at the women’s employee locker room at Great Neck Rec Center. An employee found the hidden camera back in August.

Ludwick will spend a month in jail. He will not be able to work for any rec centers for four years, and he cannot have unsupervised contact with any children.

Ludwick was originally charged with filming a minor, but investigators never recovered the memory card from the camera, so prosecutors could not prove children were filmed.
