NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — With less than two weeks left before election day, Christopher Newport University talked to young people about their choices in the race.
The Wason Center interviewed 481 registered Virginia voters between the ages of 18 and 35. The poll shows incumbent Mark Warner with the lead at 47 percent among millennials.
Libertarian Robert Sarvis is second at 24 percent, Republican Ed Gillespie comes in third at 11 percent, and 18 percent of people are undecided.
The CNU poll also shows 44 percent of people in that age group are paying attention to the senate race.
Overall, millennials say things are going better in Virginia than in the nation, with 55 percent saying things in the nation are going in the wrong direction.
